What is a Dr Esthé Korean Spicule Facial?
Dr Esthé facials use millions of ultra-fine, hydrolysed freshwater spicules to gently resurface the skin, triggering cellular renewal and boosting collagen production for a brighter, firmer complexion — with minimal downtime.
Which option is right for me?
Dr Spi-Cure targets fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of firmness. Peel-N-Glow Brightening targets pigmentation, sun damage, and uneven tone. Peel & Glow Congestion & Acne targets breakouts and congestion. Your therapist can help you choose the right one for your skin.
Does it hurt?
You may feel a mild tingling or prickly sensation as the spicules are worked into the skin, which settles as your skin absorbs the actives. Most clients find it comfortable.
Is this suitable for my skin?
Dr Esthé treatments aren't recommended for impaired skin barriers (like open acne wounds) or sensitive/reactive skin not currently on therapist-prescribed products. In some cases — like cystic acne — your skin may need preparatory work first, such as LED Facial Therapy.
How long do the spicules stay in my skin? (
The spicules remain embedded in the skin for up to 72 hours as they work, gradually shedding as part of your skin's natural renewal process over the following days.
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
It's best to skip makeup for 24–48 hours. If you need coverage sooner, opt for a medical-grade mineral makeup rather than traditional formulas.
